MIRAMAR (CBS4) - Miramar police are trying to piece together what happened after a body was found inside a vehicle in a usually quiet neighborhood of the city.
Police spokeswoman Tania Rues said around 12:20 a.m. they received a report of gun shots fired in the area just north of Miramar Parkway and east of South University Drive. When officers arrived at the intersection of Nassau Drive and Juniper Street they discovered a man dead inside a vehicle. Police have identified the man as 22-year old Brandon Samuels.
According to investigators, Samuels had just dropped a friend when he was confronted by someone. Moments later, police said, some reported her shots fired.
Police said Samuels, who had a young child, was attending a local technical college to learn how to create video games.
