MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Another chilly morning across South Florida with some of the coldest temperatures we've seen so far this winter season.

A few inland areas woke up to the upper 40s. The rest of South Florida saw low to mid 50s. Even the Keys dipped down to the mid to upper 50s. The average low this time of year is around 60 degrees.

High Pressure continues to build in across the southeast providing the northerly wind which is bringing our cooler, drier air.

Highs today will stay cool in the upper 60s. Our average high temperature at this time of year is around 76 degrees. The brisk breeze out of the north at 15 to 20 miles per hour will make it feel even colder to the skin.

Tonight lows will fall to the low to mid 50s with a few inland locations dropping to the upper 40s.

Wednesday the high pressure will move south and we'll get a more easterly wind flow by the afternoon so it will not be as cool and there's a chance we'll see a couple few sprinkles.

The warming trend continues Thursday with lows back in the 60s in the morning and highs in the upper 70s by the afternoon.

By Friday, we'll wake up with low to mid 60s and highs in the upper 70s with the potential for scattered storms out ahead of our next cold front which arrives just in time for the weekend. Lows will dip to the 50s and highs will be in the upper 60s Saturday and Sunday.
