2nd Man Sought In Deadly Dania Beach Shooting
DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) – A second 'person of interest' is now being sought by the Broward Sheriff's Office in connection with a deadly shooting in Dania Beach.
On Sunday, the sheriff's office announced that they were searching for 20-year old Christopher Jordan for questioning in the death of 20-year old Dijon Brown.
On Saturday, around 1:30 a.m., deputies were called to check out reports of gun shots at a street party being held on Phippen Road at S W 7th Street. When they arrived party-goers told them that a man had just been gunned down in the street. Brown, who was shot multiple times, died at the scene.
According to the sheriff's office, witnesses identified the gunman as 18-year old Eric Hunter. There was an ongoing dispute between Brown and Hunter that boiled over at the large gathering, detectives said. A first degree murder warrant has been issued for Hunter's arrest. The sheriff's office said Hunter has a history of drug related arrests.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Jordan or Hunter is asked to call BSO's non-emergency number, (954) 765-4321 or Crime Stoppers of Broward County at (954) 493-TIPS.
