2 Dead In Broward I-95 Crash

An overnight rollover crash on Interstate 95 claimed the lives of two people in Broward County Thursday.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue responded to the crash at 3:30 a.m. According to police, the vehicle swerved and rolled over several times before crashing into trees.

Both people inside the car were ejected and pronounced dead on the scene, with one occupant thrown a significant distance from the vehicle and the other occupant remaining partially under the vehicle.

Rush hour traffic was backed up in the early morning hours after three southbound lanes were blocked and the southbound entrance ramp at Broward Boulevard was closed.
