Planning a summer vacation? Why not try your hand at boeuf bourguignon in Julia Child's actual kitchen?

The current owners of some homes formerly owned or rented by celebrities have opened them up to renters on home-sharing sites like Airbnb and HomeAway, allowing vacationers to get a taste of life as a rock star or celebrity chef.

For the right price, you could make your own gravy at Paula Deen's house, lounge in the sun on the same deck chairs as Kim Kardashian or throw your own party in a pad where the Rolling Stones and the Beatles once partied.

But unsurprisingly, living like a celebrity isn't always cheap. These posh pads cost up to about $16,000 per night -- although some are as low as $184 per night. Some of the homes' celeb-worthy amenities include a 15-person on-site staff, swimming pools, game rooms and fitness centers.

Click ahead for seven vacation rentals that could let you spend your summer like a star.
