After crashing, the suspect refused to surrender, prompting a standoff which backed up traffic in both directions on Mulholland Drive.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies began chasing the suspect at about noon, and the chase wound its way across the region's freeways including the 91, 5, and 405 freeways.
It's unclear if more than one person is on board the bus at this time.
