Yankee Candle Rolls Out New Line Of Manly Scented Candles
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — One of the nation's most popular candle makers is now targeting men with a line of scented candles.
Yankee Candle's new line of "Man Candles" include scents like "Riding Mower" – which smells like a lawn – and "2X4" – the smell of lumber.
The "Man Town" scent combines a "masculine" blend of spices, woods and musk, while "First Down" combines orange, patchouli, vetiver and leather – apparently the aroma of a football game.
Each of the candles burn up to 150 hours and cost $27.99 each. Smaller candles burn up to 45 hours and cost $17.99 each.
Masculine candle accessories are also available, such as candle jar toppers decorated with footballs and football helmets, charm-like jar clingers shaped like mini mugs of beer and beer stein-shaped votive holders.
These manly-smelling candles are being introduced this week, just in time for Father's Day shopping.
