Police Investigate Deadly Shooting In Long Beach
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police on Tuesday investigated a deadly shooting in Long Beach.
Shortly after 1 a.m., officers were sent to West 5th Street for report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Upon their arrival, authorities located a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound.
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital where he later died.
His identity is being withheld pending family notification.
At this time, police have no information regarding the motive for the shooting or a description of the suspect.
