Police Hunt For Suspects In Rash Of Robberies In Fairfax
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Los Angeles police Friday continued to search for two suspects in a rash of street robberies near Fairfax Avenue.
The crime spree involving the two same suspects occurred about 7 p.m. Wednesday near Fairfax Avenue and Beverly Boulevard, police said in a statement.
According to police, the suspects approached the victims -- all of which were men -- and demanded their personal property, including their wallets and cellphones.
While it was unclear if the suspects were armed, authorities said they used fear and threats of force with a gun against the victims.
The LAPD described the suspects as African Americans in their 20s. Both are 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weigh between 150 to 190 pounds.
The victims also told police that one of the suspects was wearing either a dark beanie or a dark shirt with a hoodie. The second suspect may have been sporting a red "do-rag," the LAPD said.
Police said the suspects may have a vehicle. It's described as an older model, tan Oldsmobile sedan with a partial California license plate of 432.
