Atlanta police searching for persons of interest in deadly shooting of music producer

Police are asking the public's help identifying multiple persons of interest in a deadly shooting at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex.

Investigators say the victim and his friend were lured to a location because they thought they were picking up two men for a rap studio session that they were invited to. Instead, it turned into a robbery that left the 33-year-old music producer dead.

According to police, officers arrived at the Villages of Castleberry Hill apartments on McDaniel Street around 1:37 a.m. on Aug. 21 and found Tarris Caswell shot inside a vehicle. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Officials say they believe that Caswell and his friend were "targeted in a planned robbery."

On Monday, the Atlanta Police Department shared photos and surveillance video of two men who are considered persons of interest in the case, asking the public for help identifying them.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
