Police Hunt For Men Who Robbed Murrieta Gas Station
MURRIETA (CBS) — Police Sunday were on the hunt for two men who robbed a Murrieta service station at gunpoint and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.
The incident occurred about 5 a.m. Saturday at USA Gas on Winchester Road, Murrieta police Sgt. Ron Driscoll.
According to Driscoll, the men ordered three clerks -- all of them women -- into the back office; then ordered one of them to the counter where he forced her to empty the contents of two cash drawers into a bag.
Both suspects were described as medium build and were armed with handguns.
One of them – a dark-skinned male – was 5'7" and weighed about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing black cotton gloves, dark pants and a white-ribbed cloth mask with eyeholes cut out, police said.
The second suspect -- also 5'7" -- weighed about about 160 pounds. He wore a black-hooded sweatshirt, a white-ribbed cloth mask with eyeholes cut out, white cotton gloves, dark pants and white tennis shoes, the sergeant said.
