Pinkberry Co-Founder Arrested At LAX

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — The co-founder of the Pinkberry frozen yogurt chain was behind bars Monday, after being arrested at Los Angeles International Airport.

LAPD officials says Young Lee, 47, was arrested for an incident that reportedly happened in June of last year in downtown Los Angeles.

Lee was taken into custody at LAX by a fugitive task force apprehension team following an overseas flight. Police say Lee was taken into custody without incident.

Lee was being held in lieu of $60,000 bail.

Kick-boxer turned architect turned entrepreneur, Lee co-founded Pinkberry with partner Shelly Hwang. They opened the first Pinkberry location in West Hollywood in 2005, quickly gaining a celebrity following and sparking a frozen yogurt craze.

The yogurt chain quickly grew into an international franchise brand.

Pinkberry closed its original West Hollywood location in April 2010.
