People 2 Watch: CSUN Student Shows That Bald Is Beautiful

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Kylie Bamburger doesn't have cancer. And she wants people to know that she's not sick.

Bamburger suffers from a hair-loss condition known as alopecia; she was just 15 years old when it all fell out.

A communications major at Cal State Northridge, 21-year-old Bamburger is also a spokesperson for the National Alopecia Foundation. She is confident in showing she is bald, but when she does opt to wear a wig, Kylie says they can be cumbersome.

That's when Sonia Mari of Halo Couture stepped in and gave Bamburger hair extensions that don't require clips or glue, and when worn with a scarf, are a much cooler alternative to a wig.

Bamburger lovers her new hair and the confidence it gives her. She hopes to start her own non-profit organization after she graduates.

For more information on alopecia, visit the National Alopecia Areata Foundation. You can also visit Halo Couture Extensions to find a salon or shop near you.
