LOS ANGELES (CBS) Officials say Otis Anthony Deaver was one brazen robber. They say he not only burglarized downtown office buildings, but he did so during work hours while people were seated at their desks.

Dressed in a security guard jacket, they say Deaver would help himself to office equipment including lap tops.

Deaver was arrested about 1:45 Wednesday, without incident, according to officers from the Rampart Division.

LAPD Lt. Paul Vernon called Deaver "a career burglar" and an "office creeper."

He added, "These creepers are a bit creepy when one consicers they are sneaking around in your workplace as you work."

Deaver, who is 57, would often don a security guard disguise to blend in with the workforce and roam arounnd unchallenged.

Vernon added that Deaver walks with a "distinct limp."

Anyone with more information about possible burglaries is asked to call Detective Pat Roman at (213) 972-1230 or Crimestoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
