On July 2, 2024, around 7:45 p.m. the sheriff's department allege Reajonette was fatally shot in her vehicle as she approached the 105 Freeway on ramp. Luna said Reajonette was heading south on Vermont Avenue from Imperial Highway in South Los Angeles.

Authorities said a blue Honda Civic drove up on the driver's side of Morgan's vehicle and shot her multiple times causing her to crash into the corner of Vermont Avenue and the freeway on-ramp. Luna said at least a dozen shots were fired.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene driving south on Vermont Avenue, the sheriff's department said.

Reajonette was taken to the hospital where she died on July 4, 2024.

"My heart is shattered beyond repair. She had dreams, aspirations and a bright future ahead of her," Anginette said.

Authorities are asking for any information that might lead to the identification and arrest of those involved.

"To those responsible, turn yourselves in. What you've done can't be undone but facing the consequences is the first step toward making things right," Anginette said.
