Josh Rubenstein's Forecast (January 6)

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — While temperatures will be close to average, we will still see a good amount of moisture spewing into the area... it's going to come in form of cloud cover.

It will be similar to what we saw yesterday. The upper level low is still 400 miles off-shore to the southwest and will finally make a move by tomorrow.

We will see an increased cloud cover from this system, but only a 10% chance for any showers. This system is particularly moisture-starved.

A marine layer builds in for Sunday morning keeping temperatures in check.

Monday - look for high pressure to build and we could see a 70 degree reading downtown, which would be the first 70 we've seen in nearly 30 days.

Today:

Coastal - upper 60s;
Basin - upper 60s;
Valleys - mid to upper 60s;
Deserts - low 50s;
Mountains - mid 40s.
