Give A Dog A 'Fur-Ever' Home With The Poopie Foundation

STUDIO CITY (CBS) — A local foundation is asking Angelenos to foster and give forever homes for dogs.

Melissa Bacelar of the Poopie Foundation visited the KCAL studios Monday. She also brought two adoptable dogs: a Beagle named Penny Lane and Max Power, a Black Chihuahua puppy.

Melissa and her husband started rescuing dogs seven years ago and have been taking dogs out of kill shelters around Los Angeles. They have saved over 1,000 dogs in the past seven years. They do that by finding fosters in our area that can hold the dogs until they find forever homes. They also fund transports where 60 to 80 dogs at a time can be transported out of Los Angeles to states that have a shortage of adoptable dogs.
