Firefighters Save Dog From Long Beach House Fire
LONG BEACH (CBS) — A Long Beach family's dog was saved by firefighters from a house fire.
The blaze began Thursday in the 4800 block of Bentree Avenue about 10:30 a.m., the Long Beach Fire Department said.
Firefighters found the dog on the bathroom floor, carried it out of the home and used a canine resuscitator, officials said.
The dog was revived and transported to a local veterinarian for further treatment and evaluation. Officials say the dog is doing well.
No one was injured in the fire. The cause is unknown.
