Family, Friends Eat Out To Raise Money For Irvine Car Crash Victim

MISSION VIEJO (CBSLA.com) — Friends and family came together to eat in honor of one of five the teenagers who died in an Irvine car crash on the Golden State (5) Freeway and to raise money to cover burial costs.

Jenny Campos' funeral is Saturday, but the 15-year-old girl's family and friends have spearheaded an effort online and in the community to help raise money for her burial costs.

"They need the help to get the costs together for the funeral and give her a nice going home," relative Staci Marcus said.

Jenny was one of five friends killed in a fiery crash in Irvine earlier this month as they drove home from Knott's Berry Farm.

Wednesday night only, 20 percent of a customer's bill will be donated by the restaurant to benefit Jenny Campos' family.

"No parent should need to go through this, and if we can help make it easier, we will," said Chelli Prouty of TK Burgers.

TK Burgers will be open till 9 p.m. Customers who would like to participate can mention Jenny Campos when placing their order so the restaurant can make a donation.
