Downtown LA Sixth Street Bridge reopens after being closed due to police activity
The downtown Los Angeles Sixth Street Bridge closed for several hours Friday morning as Los Angeles Police Department officers worked to take a man into custody.
Police activity at the bridge began around 8:30 a.m. and concluded shortly after noon, as the man was detained.
Los Angeles City Fire crews also responded to the scene.
The Sixth Street Bridge connects 6th Street in the Arts District with Whittier Boulevard in the Boyle Heights neighborhood.
