Allred Claims Ex-Porn Star Afraid Of Weiner 'Threats'

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — An attorney for a former porn star linked to Congressman Anthony Weiner said on Friday that her client has been "threatened" by an as-yet unidentified party.

"Ginger Lee", 27, is one of six women who have come forward alleging inappropriate online contact with the New York lawmaker in recent days.

Attorney Gloria Allred told KNX 1070's Jon Baird that Lee is under emotional duress from what she calls a "series of ultimatums" in the wake of the Weiner scandal.

While Allred did confirm that her client had been threatened, she was reluctant to provide any details to KNX 1070.

"We don't want to go into what the specifics of the threats are, but all I can tell you is we have documentation of them," said Allred.

Weiner, 46, reportedly met Lee through the social networking site Twitter, and on June 2 reportedly offered the services of his public relations staff as the scandal began to break.

"Do you need to talk to a professional PR type person to give u [sic] advice? I can have someone on my team call, " Weiner wrote in an email leaked to gossip site TMZ.

The allegation is significant in that if any member of his Congressional staff were involved, Weiner could face charges of misusing public funds.
