California Highway Patrol officers say the victim was driving a 2007 GMC and collided with a 2006 Kenworth tractor/trailer near Ventura Boulevard at 12:55 a.m.
The first assault occurred on Hollywood Boulevard near the corner of North Cherokee Avenue around 1:15 a.m., Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. A. Howell told City News Service.
