SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Sacramento Metro Fire rescued nine people from the American River after their boat got stuck in a tree near River Bend Park Sunday afternoon.

A total of six adults and three children were transported to shore at around 4:10 p.m.

Metro Fire said one person was taken to a nearby hospital out of precaution.

It is unclear if that person was an adult or child.
