28th Annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance & Wreath Laying Ceremony

Today the Greater Sacramento Area Submarine Veterans is holding the 28th Annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance and Wreath Laying Ceremony. Officers and members of the Gold Country Base, United States Submarine Veterans have a goal to keep the memory of December 7, 1941 alive and to honor the heroism, the dedication, and painful sacrifice of our service men and women on that fateful day.

Our Lady of Guadalupe Parade

Today the streets of Yuba City is hosting their annual Our Lady of Guadalupe Parade. This tradition started with 20 people in 1966. The tradition came from Mexico and because people couldn't always go to Mexico to celebrate this event,  it was brought over to Yuba City and each year the event get bigger.

Holiday Good Design Market

Today the monthly Good Street Food + Design Market returns for its final event of 2014. This 2-day holiday hangout is bringing local merchants, live music and great food to Del Paso Boulevard. Shoppers can browse festive offerings from the market's artisans and designers, nosh at the Slightly Skewed and El Matador food trucks, and get their holiday pictures taken with Santa!

Shoe Daca Boutique      

Shoe Daca is an upscale boutique that was started by a local Sacramento teacher as a way of giving shoes to children and families in need. The owner had been giving shoes to needy students at his school for 17 years, and Shoe Daca was a way of expanding on giving donations beyond that to the community.

Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus

The Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus was founded in 1984 as a singing group that aimed to foster a sense of community and provide support for gays and lesbians in the Sacramento area. The chorus will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a single gala performance at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in May 2015.
