A local father is running for 24 hours to help save Lincoln schools from looming budget cuts (he wants to run close to 125 miles in all!). By this point, he is about 24 hours into his run! We saw him kick it off yesterday, now we head back to see how he's doing after a day straight of running. Plus the community has joined in his effort by throwing a fun run 5k to show support and that kicks off at 9am today!

Troop 68 Splash N' Dash
A local girl scout troop is working hard to earn the Girl Scout Bronze Award -- the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. They have decided to help Sacramento Animal Care & Regulation in stocking their Community Pet Food Pantry. To do it, the girls have organized a community dog wash today to raise money and collect donations of pet food.
