News: Cat Dies In Natomas Fire

SACRAMENTO (CW31 - Firefighters are continuing their clean-up of a Natomas home that suffered heavy fire damage on Friday morning.

The fire happened just before 5 a.m. at the home on Lackland Way, west of Natomas Boulevard.

Residents inside the home were able to get out of the home safely, but a family pet wasn't so lucky. A cat was killed in the blaze.

Fire officials say it appears the fire started in the garage.
