Mag-a-roos Magnets
Cambi is back at Ronda's house! Ronda is a Good Day viewer who has one obsession and has now created a business from it! Mag-a-roos are custom handmade multi-colored acrylic magnets decorated with Swarovski Crystals. They can be used on the refrigerators or on most metal surfaces.
Mag-a-Roos are literally flying off the shelf, so of course we had to send Cambi back to check them out because Ronda has created brand new designs that she wants to show off!
Hourglass Salon Cut-a-Thon
The Hourglass Salon+Boutique is doing their first ever St. Baldrick's cut-a-thon! Hourglass stylists will shaving people's heads in front of the salon and donating all proceeds to St, Baldrick's!! Members of Sac Metro Fire, members of the Sac Republic soccer team, Sac CHP's and a local Boy Scout troop are all expected to come out and get their heads shaved!
Humane Society Thrift Shop
Nha is with the volunteers of the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills who just opened up a brand new thrift shop! Run entirely by volunteers The Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills wanted a thrift store with a retail appearance. There are a handful number of vendors in the store offering handcrafted up cycled, recycled and original items for sale. The Human Society also runs a book store to help fund HSSF's anti cruelty programs.
The books are donated by individuals and a $1.00 book sale is hosted one day a month

Nha is at Wise Villa where he's checking out the first ever sparkling wine to be grown and produced in Placer County and the first Vino-Brew Blend produced in the Sierra Foothills & Sacramento Region.

King of Boxing
We're meeting up with Stockton's 16-year-old king of boxing (10x national champion) Gabriel Flores Jr. He is ranked number 1 in the nation and number 2 in the world!! He's going to give Heather a lesson or two on what it takes to be a great boxer and letting us know what next for the champ!
Corner Cafe
We're in Oakdale this morning checking out breakfast at some of the locals favorite spot, the cahoots corner cafe! Great food, coffee and customer service. We'll find out some of the locals favorites off of the menu from omelettes, to sandwiches, pancakes and more!

Gem Show
About 10,000 people will be attending the annual rock and gem show in Turlock this weekend! This is their golden anniversary of 50 consecutive rock and mineral shows - and they have a lot planned! From gem cutting, to gold panning, there is something for everyone. Heather is there checking it out!

Save the Davis Vanguard
We're talking about one online newspaper that needs our help!! The Davis Vanguard was founded in 2006 as a small blog covering local news and commentary in Davis and Yolo County. The Davis Vanguard is now a 501c3 non-profit that publishes four to five articles a day, seven days a week covering the city of Davis, Yolo County Courts, and other issues of local and regional interest. The Vanguard of Davis is considered the people's newspapers because it's all written by aspiring writers and invites locals to submit their own articles (people who never dreamed of being a writer could have a piece published in our newspaper).
However due to funding the online paper maybe soon getting shut down! This morning founder and publisher David Greenwald is in studio telling us how we can help save the paper!
ONOFF Rock Band
They're back! Today the studio is going to be rocked by a 3 piece band from Ireland who has just recently relocated to the greater Sacramento area! ONOFF plays all over California and has just released their new single along with a music video which was recorded in California starring fans of the band!
ONOFF have released and been a part of many successful projects in Ireland and throughout Europe. Their highest accolade to date is the release of the bands debut European album 'DONT TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT!!'
ONOFF is playing at different locations this whole week building up to a HUGE performance on St. Patrick's Day! But first, they stop by our studio to play some jams!

MONDAY is National Pie Day!!! Not pie day, but Pi Day as in 3.14!!
Today Ikeda's owners and brothers Glen and Steve Ikeda join us in studio to talk about how they plan on celebrating pi day!!!
Yahoo recently recognized Ikeda's Pies as the very best in California, and Ikeda's was proud to be prominently featured in the national PBS special "A Few Great Pie Places". Therfore Glen and Steve are doing HUGE pie specials and making their amazing signature pies!!!
