Young Rangers Fan's 'Switcheroo' Is More Innocent Than You Think
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - A slick young Texas Rangers fan pulled an impressive stunt to woo an older girl in the row behind at Saturday night's game, or so we thought.
Austin Chaney's story went viral only hours after he was caught on camera at the Rangers game Saturday night.

The commentators in the video make note that Austin seemingly pulled a "switcheroo" by handing the girl behind him a different foul ball -- not the one he just caught.
The Internet exploded in reaction, describing Austin as "slick" and "smooth." One Twitter user said he wanted to make Austin his new wingman!
It turns out, however, the gesture was much more innocent than it looked.
Austin, a Red Oak resident, told CBS 11 News that he had already caught a foul ball that night. He decided to give away one of the balls to a stranger if he were to catch another.
So, when exactly that happened, he turned around and gave the second ball to the first person he saw -- a pretty, older girl.
Austin said the girl did not give him her phone number (as many people on the Internet wondered). She did thank him for the ball, however.
The young baseball enthusiast also revealed to CBSDFW.COM that he is not a Texas Rangers fan! Rather, he's a Boston Redsox fan, even though he's a Texas native.

Only hours before his interview with CBS 11, Austin placed second in a baseball tournament. It's obvious the young man really loves the sport.
