Young Daughter Of Recovering DART Officer Speaks

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The daughter of DART officer Misty McBride spoke outside Baylor Medical Center late Thursday night.
"I'm just glad that she's alive, really," said Hunter McBride.
McBride, who as been a DART officer for five years, was shot twice... once in the arm, once in the abdomen, according to the officer's father, Richard McBride.
"She's just waiting to go into surgery but there's a lot of people a lot worse off than her," said Richard McBride.
When asked what she told her mother, Hunter McBride said, "I said I love you and I'm glad you're here."
