ADDISON (CBS11 SPORTS) - As a sophomore at Greenhill School in Addison, Ariana Luterman is wise beyond her years.

At one point, she was ranked #1 in her age group in the country in the triathlon.

Currently being recruited by several colleges in California, Ariana has a passion that goes beyond the track, bike and pool.

She says her lifelong mission is to battle childhood homelessness.

Under the umbrella of Team Ariana, she has gathered sponsors and generous donations to make contributions to the Vogel Alcove, a Dallas institution providing free education and services to homeless children.

For her efforts, Ariana has been honored with the Prudential Spirit of Community Award, which she will receive this summer in the Washington, DC.

She has also been selected to receive an award from the U.S. Army and Pro Football Hall of Fame for excellence in athletics, academics and community service.

Ariana will be presented with that award in August in Canton, Ohio.

"I will never take anything for granted," says Ariana.

Her dad, Zachary says Ariana's giving spirit will be something she carries with her the rest of her life.

Her mom, Allana says they couldn't be more proud of their daughter.
