Now through November 23, Autumn at the Dallas Arboretum features the nationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village with over 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash and was named one of "America's Best Pumpkin Festivals," according to Fodor's Travel in 2015.

If you love the beautiful flowers at the Arboretum each spring, now you can buy your own! Back by popular demand, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is selling spring-blooming bulbs that are perfect for winter planting. Bulb packages range from $23 to $83 and include hyacinths, muscari, daffodils, paperwhites and tulips. Orders are open through November 7, with shipments starting in late November, just in time for perfect winter planting. Bulb purchases can be made online at

This Saturday, October 22, Reindeer Manor will have more than their typical monsters, aliens and zombies. Star Wars characters will be at Reindeer Manor from 8-10pm taking pictures with guests and collecting donations for Apollo Support and Rescue. Apollo Support and Rescue accepts donations in the form of both money and pet food. The goal of Apollo Support and Rescue is to be a stepping stone to care for and place dogs in homes that believe in second chances.

Check out Screams newest haunted attraction, the Zombie Wasteland.  They actually have 3 Haunted Houses, the CarnEvil Clown Maze and the all new Zombie Wasteland!  Plus, there is live entertainment on the Screams® stage, Scary-Oke, games of skill, shops, and a food court. Screams will be open on Friday & Saturday Nights now through October 29, 2016 from 7:30 PM to 1:30 AM and is located in Waxahachie, just 30 minutes south of downtown of Dallas off of I-35E at exit 399A on the Scarborough Faire® site.

Midnight Madness at the Inwood Theater Friday night features the guy that freaked us out back in the day and continues to freak us out to this day. I can only be talking about Michael Myers. See Halloween. October 21

A Pumpkins on the Plaza Glow Party is happening at Dallas City Hall Saturday October 22. Hayride, music and food trucks. That's all I need to know.

The Wunderland: We're All Mad Here Halloween Costume Ball is at the Bomb Factory Saturday night. One thousand bucks goes to the best costume. (October 22)

Attention Dr. Who fans! The 6th Annual Dr. Who Day is happening this Sunday, October 23 at Grapevine's British Emporium from noon to 4pm.

This fan event will feature photo opportunities, costume contests, video screenings and more. This event is free and open to the public.

The historical preservation officer of the Alabama-Coushatta Indians, will discuss the rich heritage and history of his tribe at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, October 20, at the Allen Public Library. The Alabama-Coushatta Reservation is one of three Native American reservations in Texas.

And celebrate vintage R&B and rocking soul with Jimmy Wallace and the Stratoblasters at 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 21. The guy has played with so many people…Todd Rundgren, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Stephen Stills, Johnny Winter, Willie Nelson, Albert King, and Gregg Allman.

If you have not made it out to the State Fair of Texas yet…better get a move on! The fair runs through Sunday the 23rd. Btw… Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel: The Exhibition that is currently on display at the State Fair of Texas Women's Museum at Fair Park will be here a little longer. The producer of the exhibit says due to the huge response...the exhibit will remain on display through January 8, 2017. The exhibit showcases 34 life-size photographic reproductions of Michelangelo's ceiling frescoes, exhibited on 16-foot panels. Highlights also include The Creation of Adam and a 40x41-foot rendition of The Last Judgment, as well as a fully narrated audio tour.

It is the biggest basset bash in Texas! The Texas Basset Hound Shuffle and Games is Saturday October 22 from 9 to 1 at Leon Hogg Amphitheater in Euless. Get ready for some great food, great raffle items, a Photo Contest, Costume Contest, Howling Contest, Kissing Booth and much more!

The Operation Kindness Dog Day Afternoon is happening Saturday October 22. Sooo much to do. They'll have a Mutt Midway…Canine Contests (Best Pooch Smooch, Best Costume, and Stupid Pet Tricks) Free goodie bags for the first 1,000 guests…Free microchipping for the first 125 dogs and a ton more!

The 20th Annual Pug-O-Ween is set for the Grapevine Convention Center this Sunday October 23. They'll have a silent auction, a pug adoption parade, costume parade and pug races. DFW Pug Rescue Club is the largest Pug rescue organization in the United States.

See Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town at A&T Stadium Saturday night.

The Dallas Record Show at the Richardson Civic Center is Saturday October 22. Even though the show is primarily vinyl based, you will also find a great selection of CD'S, posters and plenty of other music memorabilia.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is playing the Majestic Saturday night. (October 22)
