Eric Bogosian's "Bitter Honey- Best 100 Monologues" is at the Wyly Theater tonight through Saturday night. (2/11-13) You probably know the guy for his plays including the Pulitzer Prize nominated Talk Radio which was later turned into an award winning film by Oliver Stone. This show is a big deal… he rarely ventures outside of New York to perform, but he is in Dallas for a one-of-a-kind theatrical event.

Bullet for My Valentine and Asking Alexandria are playing the House of Blues tonight (2/11).

Penguin Days at the Dallas Zoo happening now through February 29 with 5 dollar zoo admission.

This is the last weekend for the DFW Winter Boat Expo at Dallas Market Hall now through February 14.

The Texas Home and Garden Show is at the Fort Worth Convention Center (2/12-14).

Dallas Comicon Fan Days is at the Irving Convention Center Saturday and Sunday (2/13-14).

Experience the Finnish folk duo Vellamo, at 7:30 pm Friday, February 12, at the Allen Public Library. In addition to performing in the Finnish, Celtic and Scandinavian folk traditions, they also compose original songs.

The 12th Annual Dallas Blues Fest is at the Verizon Sunday (2/14).

The Perot Museum is offering a sweet spot to spend this Valentine's Day/Presidents' Day weekend with the family-fun Discovery Days: Gadgets & Gizmos on Saturday, plus ongoing special activities, crafts, "science on the spot" demos, bookworm readings, trivia, extended hours and more Saturday - Monday. It's also the final days for the magically mesmerizing Creatures of Light: Nature's Bioluminescence exhibition, which "glows" away for good Feb. 21.

Forget the chocolates and roses and dinner, how about taking your honey to a haunted house for Valentine's Day? The Cutting Edge Haunted House is opening for three nights (Friday, Feb. 12th, Sat. Feb 13 and Sunday, Feb 14) for something they call "Twisted Love". You'll explore the "world's largest haunted house" lit only by candlelight.

The President's Day Celebration at the Dallas Arboretum runs tomorrow through Monday (2/12-15). They'll have $5 General Admission, Patriotic Music, $1 Hot Dogs and $2 Cherry Pies.
