Make a weekend of it with The Dallas Children's Health Holiday Parade Saturday December 5. You can experience the parade up close at the Parade Preview Party at the Adolphus Hotel tonight Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, December 5 at 8:30 a.m. The Women's Auxiliary to Children's Medical Center, Dallas Chapter is honored to present the 27th Annual Breakfast with Santa, a charity event benefiting Children's Health. The parade kicks off at 10am.

Reliant Lights Your Holiday this Saturday December 5 at the AT&T Performing Arts Center, so bring your entire family for an evening of holiday magic. This FREE festival includes a Holiday Concert and Fireworks Show featuring live performances by The Polyphonic Spree and cast members of the national tour of Jersey Boys. Also, they will have free photos with Santa Claus.

Be Home For the Holidays for the 29th Annual Lantern Light at Heritage Farmstead Museum in Dallas Saturday, December 5 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.

If you want to get in the Christmas spirit this year but don't feel like cleaning and decorating your house…check out The 42nd Annual Holiday Tour of Houses in McKinney Saturday December 5-6. Every year five or six homes and historic structures are decorated for Christmas and opened for the tour.

The Wylie Arts Festival is Saturday December 5.

King Diamond is playing the House of Blues Saturday December 5.

Christmas in the Stockyards is happening Saturday December 5. They'll have live music with local children's choirs, holiday Face Painting, Armadillo Races & Cow Milking, Cowboy Santa Photos, a Fort Worth Herd Cattle Drive, and a Christmas in the Stockyards Parade at 4:00 PM.

The Holiday Extravaganza in Irving is set for Saturday December 5.

The 25th Annual Merry Main Street in Frisco is happening Saturday December 5. Ring in the holidays with the lighting of the city Christmas tree and free photos with Santa.

The 43rd Annual Hometown Holiday Parade in Desoto is Saturday December 5.

The Allen Christmas Tree Lighting is being held Friday December 4 at Civic Plaza. See their 35-foot Christmas tree featuring more than 20,000 lights.

The Arlington Holiday Lights Parade is also Saturday December 5 at 6pm.

The Twinkle Lights Boat Parade is on Lake Grapevine Saturday December 5 from 6 to 9pm. The parade is visible from the shores of Lake Grapevine and the Glass Cactus Nightclub at Gaylord Texan Resort. This event is free.

The Jingle Bell Run and Walk is happening in Fort Worth Saturday, December 5 at Burnett Park.

The Dallas Arboretum and Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden are celebrating Christmas. As a part of Holiday at the Arboretum featuring The 12 Days of Christmas and The Artistry of the Nativity, the Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden has daily holiday themed, hands-on activities and labs for the young and young at heart. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment, visits with Santa, a live reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and special holiday refreshments. For the first time ever, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will host a Holiday Bazaar.

Saturday, December 5th… the First United Methodist Church in Plano is having its annual Drive through Living Nativity. The free event is from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Hear a bunch a Christmas tunes Sunday night December 6 at the AAC with Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant.

Country great Doug Stone is doing the acoustic thing at Poor David's Pub Friday December 4.

This guy was part of the Christian rock trio known as DC Talk. See him doing the solo thing tomorrow night at the Verizon. It is Toby Mac Saturday December 5.

Have a very, Hairy Christmas tonight at the Bomb Factory in Dallas. Check out Great White, Slaughter, LA Guns, and Dangerous Toys Friday December 4.

Santa is coming to Whole Foods on Lomo Alto Drive this Saturday December 5 with DFW Rescue Me! For a $10 donation you can get a picture with Santa and your four legged best friend! We'll also have some of our great adoptable dogs on site as well. Don't miss out on all the fun!

Santa is coming to town for pet photos at Operation Kindness' Kindness Klubhouse on Preston Road in Dallas Saturday and Sunday December 5-6 from 10a-4p. Pet parents can bring their dogs and cats and whole family to sit on Santa's lap and pose for photos. A helper will snap 10-15 photos per session. Pet parents can choose to have their favorite photo framed in a 4"x6" format for $10, or receive a 4"x6" framed photo and a thumb drive with all of the photos for $25. These photos make great holiday cards and all proceeds benefit Operation Kindness. Operation Kindness is the original and largest no-kill animal shelter in North Texas.

You can check out Peter Pan now through December 6 at AT&T Performing Arts Center. This is a really cool live stage production of Peter Pan in the Threesixty Theatre – a state of the art 100-foot high structure that is a climate-controlled, world-class theatre-tent.

A Lone Star Christmas at the Gaylord Texan runs through January 3. They'll have dozens of Lone Star Christmas displays that include more than 2 million twinkling lights and acres of larger-than-life decorations. This year's ICE! Exhibit features an all-new theme - Christmas Around the World.

Santa will be in town this weekend at the GeO-Deck at Reunion Tower through Monday December 21.

Get some ice skating in at Panther Island Ice now through January 18.

See A Christmas Carol at Wylie Theater through December 26.

Celebrate Christmas at the George W. Bush Presidential Center Holiday Exhibit now through January 3.

Six Flags Over Texas Celebrates the Season with Holiday in the Park. Now through January 3, 2016, SantaLand, the Holiday Tree of Trees Spectacular, The Frosty Snowhill, will delight and amaze you.

A lot to do in Downtown Fort Worth this weekend. The Starlight Symphony returns to West 7th. This five-minute music and light show held on the hour from 6 to 10 p.m. now through January 6 is extremely cool. New this year – a sledding hill with real snow. There are also free Horse and Carriage Rides from Crockett Square every Friday and Saturday – 7 to 10 p.m., through January 2.

Prairie Lights Grand Prairie runs now through January 3.

The Nightly Magic of Christmas Light Show in Downtown Grapevine runs through January 3.

Texas Motor Speedway Gift of Lights is now through December 31. And being a lover of trees…I really like this. Texas Motor Speedway will start the Holiday Season with the official lighting of "The Biggest Living Christmas Tree in Texas" and holiday-themed fireworks display Tuesday. Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. Texas Motor Speedway has placed a giant tree at various locations in the Metroplex since the speedway opened in 1997. This year's 66-foot tall Douglas fir tree was transported from Montana.
