Suspect Shoots At FBI During Hunt County Raid

QUINLAN (CBSDFW.COM) - An early-morning FBI raid on a house in Northeast Texas ends with the suspects shooting at federal agents.

The FBI surrounded a home in the Hunt County town of Quinlan around 6:30 Thursday morning.  Agents were reportedly looking for a pair of bank robbers.

The Greenville Herald-Banner reports at one point one of the suspects shot at the agents.  The agents returned fire and wounded one of the suspect, who was taken to a local hospital.  The second suspect was booked into the Hunt County Jail.

The FBI confirms a shooting incident team is being called in from Washington to investigate the shooting.

A second officer-involved shooting occurred nearby roughly an hour before the FBI incident Thursday morning.  An officer shot a suspect after exchanging fire while serving a narcotics warrant near Lake Tawakoni.  The suspect was taken by air ambulance to a Plano hospital.

The two incidents are not believed to be related.
