LEWISVILLE (CBSDFW.COM) - Storms on Monday morning wreaked havoc at the Pier 121 Marina on Lake Lewisville.

According to officials, at least one dock broke free of its anchoring in the high winds at around 6:00 a.m. as the storms moved through the area. It smashed into another dock. Several high-priced boats were also significantly damaged.

Lonnie Williams and his wife were spending the night on their boat when the storms hit and broke the vessel free. "Pretty sure it was a tornado. Someone said they actually saw it, but it was still dark, so I don't know," Williams stated. "I woke up, I woke my wife up, I told her to get dressed and we were about to get off the boat, but winds were so high that we had to just stay there on the boat."

There have been no estimates yet regarding the damage done to the docks or the boats. However, this incident has surely put a damper on some Fourth of July plans.
