Victim Identified As Sergio Maas In Overnight Dallas Shooting, No Suspect In Custody

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- Dallas police have identified a man they said was found shot dead in his residence in the 3200 block of Sumter Drive at 3:37a.m. Wednesday morning.

According to officials an officer responded to the report of a shooting and found the victim, 22-year-old Sergio Maas.

Officials originally had said the victim died at a local hospital.

Police said they do not know what the motive or circumstances were surrounding the shooting and that no suspect was in custody.

They are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact Detective Chad Murphy, at 214-908-6981.

The investigation is ongoing.
