8-Year-Old Pulled From Pond In Kaufman County Has Died

FORNEY, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Firefighters in Forney pulled an 8-year-old girl from a pond who later died at the hospital.

A medical helicopter rushed her to the hospital around 1 p.m.

The retention pond was located in the 1000 block of Hampton Drive just off Highway 80 in Kaufman County.

No further details were released.
