Man Stuck Working On Flag Pole In Farmers Branch Rescued

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - A man who got stuck while working on a 175-foot tall flag pole in Farmers Branch on Monday is back on the ground and safe.

Police tell CBS 11 a man was stuck about 150 feet up the flag pole on I-35 near Valley View Lane,  just south of the Dr Pepper Stars Center.

Farmers Branch Fire Chief Steve Parker told CBS 11, rescue crews from Coppell, Dallas and Carrollton assisted his department, but it was a DPS helicopter crew that made the rescue.

The man, who is from Denver, was taken to Parkland Hospital suffering from dehydration and some burns from the pole rigging, but is expected to be okay.
