Man Killed After Being Hit By Vehicle Along I-20 Near Grand Prairie
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - A man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while trying to cross Interstate-20 near Highway 360 Wednesday morning.
Police said they responded to the crash at around 3:20 a.m. after a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle as he was crossing the freeway. Another vehicle also crashed into the one that hit the man.
The crash caused the eastbound lanes of I-20 to be closed in that area going into Grand Prairie. Traffic could be seen backed up from Collins Street in Arlington.
The freeway has since reopened after it was closed for several hours. Authorities are continuing to investigate what may have caused the crash.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
