KELLER (CBS 11 NEWS) - First it was several attempted child abductions and now the Keller Independent School District is dealing with claims of another incident.
According to two parents, a man exposed himself, near an elementary school, in broad daylight.
In fact, the adults say the incident happened about 500 yards from Bette Perot Elementary School in north Fort Worth.
Mindy Gant is a concerned parent. "I have concerns about why that person came to our neighborhood… what prompted him," she said.
In addition to exposing himself, the parents say the man was also taking part in inappropriate sexual activity. They tried to get video, but say the man stopped when he noticed them.
"Just having a 2-and-a-half year old little girl and to think there's people like that just across the street... kind of scary," parent Jeremy Campbell said shaking his head. "[It happened] right there in the front yard, with the elementary school up the street. It's just hard to believe that somebody would do that."
The witnesses called police, but the man was never arrested. Although no charges have been filed, a Fort Worth police spokesperson tells CBS 11 News a sex crimes detective is investigating the incident.
"I understand the law, but that's my biggest concern that he's still out," Gant said warning, "Don't come to this neighborhood! We are watching!"
Parents say the man doesn't live in the area and believe he was around their neighborhood working. A spokesperson says the district heard about what happened, but since it wasn't on campus they are waiting to hear more from the police department.
