Male/Female Pay Disparity Continues In North Texas

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Information from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that American women, working full-time, continue to make less than men working full-time. According to a new report by the American Association of University Women (AAUW), women one year out of college were paid an average of 82-percent of what their male counterparts earn.

While you may think the pay difference refers to blue-collar and white-collar workers, the pay disparity applies to politics as much as corporate America.

Here in North Texas, the study shows women in the Plano/Allen/McKinney area make a median salary of $20,000 less than men in the area.
