DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - There is now a male version of so-called "breastaurants" like Hooters and Twin Peaks. Tallywackers opened its doors in Uptown Dallas over the weekend.

According to the website, the restaurant welcomes, "anyone who desires a fun atmosphere, amazing food, outstanding talent, and a little eye candy." Winston Lackey, Tallywackers' media and marketing director, calls it "guy candy." He says since Saturday's grand opening, a wide range of guests have come into the restaurant, including women, men, and even children. Tallywackers does have a small children's menu, says Lackey.

About 30 men make up the wait staff at Tallywackers, who wear a uniform that's not much more than a tank top and super short, tight swim shorts. If you visit, you may get a peek under those tank tops if you ask about the "AB-etizers." The appetizer menu is printed on the inside of the waiters shirts, so when the waiters will reveal it, you also get a look at their abs.  Lackey says you don't have to be a man to work as a Tallywackers waiter, but at this time, no women have applied for the job.

While the Tallywackers concept, its waiters and uniforms are the raising eyebrows, Lackey promises that the food will be the thing that sets them apart from similar restaurants.

"One of our most popular burgers is the S & M burger. That's our Swiss and mushroom burger, and all of our burgers are stuffed."

Lackey says people have been packing Tallywackers since the opening and with live entertainment (including a drag queen performer on Fridays and celebrity impressionist on Saturdays), he expects the crowds to keep coming.

At this time, Dallas is the only Tallywackers location, but the owner plans to open more restaurants in the future.
