Former Wylie Teacher Faces Indecency & Improper Relationship Charges

WYLIE (CBSDFW.COM) - A former Wylie High School teacher is in jail. Brian Booth is accused of having had improper relationships with several students.

"Brian Booth was arrested on six felony charges; three counts of indecency with a child and three counts of improper relationship between educator and student," explained Wylie Police Detective Venece Perepiczka.

City and county law enforcement officials had been investigating Booth since Valentine's Day. He resigned from the school just days after the investigation began.

"The Collin County Child Abuse Task Force was notified and during the course of the investigation they identified three juvenile female student [victims]," said Perepiczka.

The police investigation in the case continues and officials say they have not ruled out the possibility of there being more victims.

Booth was arrested Thursday and as of Friday afternoon remained in the Collin County Jail on $150,000 bond.
