DFW's First 2012 Babies Born At Same Time

NORTH TEXAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Neither Dallas nor Fort Worth will get bragging rights to having the first baby born in the Metroplex for 2012, after hospitals in both cities delivered babies at the exact same time on Sunday morning.

In Dallas, Evan Saldana was the first baby born in 2012. He was born at 12:16 a.m. Sunday at Medical City Dallas Hospital. He weighed in at 7 pounds 7 ounces.

In Fort Worth, Anthony Ortiz was also delivered at 12:16 a.m. at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest. He weighed in at 6 pounds 7 ounces.

Both boys are said to be doing well.
