Dallas Firefighters Battle Huge Mulch Fire

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas firefighters battled a fire in a large mulch pile in Northwest Dallas early Friday morning.

Firefighters received the call about the blaze -- at Living Earth Technologies just off Northwest Highway -- a little after 2 a.m.

Flames could be seen by traffic cameras more than a mile away.

There was no word on a possible cause nor any reports of injuries.

A dozen Dallas Fire Rescue vehicles were called to the scene.

Crews are expected to be on the scene for hours to put out the fire extinguish any smoldering mulch.
