Cowboys Randle: Underwear Stealer Gets Undressed By Witten

Mike Fisher | @fishsports

IRVING, Texas (105.3 THE FAN)  - In part as a result of having shoplifted underwear, Cowboys running back Joseph Randle found himself at practice on Friday being undressed by team leader Jason Witten.

"Alright, don't say another (expletive) word!" Witten yelled at Randle at the opening of the workout. "Alright? Don't say nothin' from here on out. Don't talk about it."

But indications are Witten's ire isn't the result of the arrest, which the club dealt with in the wake of the two-week-old incident, but rather Frisco Jail video that shows Randle trying to downplay his crime by comparing it to teammates' troubles.

Said Randle to officers about teammate Josh Brent, involved in the 2012 vehicular homicide tragedy that killed Jerry Brown: "Josh Brent, he's still up in the locker room. He was driving drunk. That's stupid."

And, said Randle, referencing Dez Bryant's 2012 arrest on family-violence charges: "Dez didn't miss no games for smacking his momma."

This sort of thing likely triggered a Dez reaction this morning and doesn't play well in a locker room that has relied on a brotherly bond to get to 6-2 ... and whatever Dallas decides to do with Randle now, Witten has taken an important first step in attacking him for his ignorance and impudence.
