Blue Bell Ice Cream Recalled Due To Packaging Mistake

DALLAS (CBSDFW/1080 KRLD) - The Food and Drug Administration says Blue Bell Ice Cream has issued another recall. This one is due to mislabeling.
The company says some Rocky Road pints produced in its Brenham, Texas, plant actually contain Cookies 'N Cream, which could mean a problem for someone allergic to wheat or soy.
The company says anyone allergic to both could develop severe medical conditions.
The ice cream is in stores in Texas and Louisiana.
The Food and Drug Administration says no illnesses have been reported to date, and there are no other health or safety concerns except for those posed to people that have soy or wheat allergies.
The ice cream can also be identified by the following code located on the bottom of the pint: 022918576
Consumers who have purchased these items can return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. For more information, consumers with questions may call 979-836-7977, Monday - Friday 8am-5pm CST.
Last year massive bacteria contamination problem caused the company to pull all products off the shelf.
