DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - To the surprise of nobody, the Olympians are not too pleased with the living arrangements they've been given during their stay in Rio.
One of the more outspoken athletes on the situation is Dallas Maverick, Andrew Bogut.
The newly acquired center took to twitter to air out his frustrations on Monday against the IOC for the terrible conditions, and he didn't disappoint.
In the tweets, you can see that Bogut created his own hashtag for the whole snafu. #IOCLuxuryLodging is now trending on twitter.
This latest incident comes on the heels of the entire Australian Olympic team refusing to stay in the Olympic Village just nearly a week ago due to electrical and plumbing problems, and a few days after a laptop and team shirts were stolen from the team's accommodations at the village on Friday while the building was being evacuated because of a small fire.
More than 700 Australian athletes and staff stayed out of the dorms for at least two days when they first arrived, according to an AP report.
The conditions are so bad that Bogut had to create his own shower curtain "so we can shower and not flood the place."
"I have never experienced a village in this state -- or lack of state -- of readiness at this point in time," said the head of Australia's delegation Kitty Chiller, who is attending her fifth Olympics.
"We're having plumbing problems, we've got leaking pipes," Australian team spokesman Mike Tancred told the AP. "We've got electrical problems. We've got cleaning problems. We've got lighting problems in some of the stairwells. We did a stress test on Saturday, turned on the taps and flushed the toilets, and water came flooding down the walls."
