2 Dead, 5 Injured From Head-On Accident

PALO PINTO CO. (CBSDFW.COM) - Two people are dead after a head-on crash in Palo Pinto County.

According to investigators, 34-year-old, Jessica Lee Harris of Graham, crossed her Mitsubishi into the center line of highway 337 Friday, into the path of a van carrying members of Faith Center Assembly of God from Graham.

The members ranged from ages 11-49.

The van swerve to avoid hitting Harris, but Harris corrected her car's position and slammed into the van.

Stacey Daily was inside the van and died of her injuries.

Five people remain hospitalized in Fort Worth.

Four victims were confirmed at John Peter Smith hospital in Fort Worth; three of them were transported by CareFlite helicopter ambulance. The hospital would not release conditions or ages.

A fifth victim was taken to a different Fort Worth hospital. Two others were driven to a Mineral Wells hospital, one of which was treated and released, according to authorities.

The DPS said everyone in the bus was wearing seat belts.
