Remembering the inspiration for Capuchin Soup Kitchen

The Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit is a ministry of the Capuchin friars, a Catholic community inspired by St. Francis of Assisi. Father Solanus Casey, a Capuchin friar, was among the people who was involved in the early years of the soup kitchen. Casey has been given the title "Blessed" within the Catholic church, and supporters hope that he will be given the title of "Saint."
